Steps 1 & 2: Knowledge is Power
First, educate yourself to understand how our human actions are contributing to climate change and how our way of life is changing. We have linked reputable educational resources below. Second, determine your personal carbon footprint and develop a Carbon Footprint Reduction Plan. We recommend the CoolCalifornia calculator.
Step 3: Take the Pledge
Join our movement and commit to make the changes in your Action Road Map. Become a member of ClimateUnified.org and take the ClimateUnified.org pledge to strive to reduce your carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and work towards Net Zero.
Step 4: Speak with your Wallet
Wield your personal influence and purchasing power. Encourage your favorite companies to establish carbon reduction plans. There are many companies committing to 50% reduction by 2030 and Net-Zero. Choosing to spend your money with businesses that are helping to solve the problem sends a clear message. We have a letter you can download to send companies.
Step 5: Exercise your Vote
Encourage your Government Representatives to support and establish carbon reduction plans. Vote for candidates that demonstrate alignment with your goals. Write a letter to tell your government officials that you want them to help their communities cut carbon emissions.
